My story

I have heard about "earthing or grounding" over the years. I believed there is benefit to touching the earth with our bare feet, but I never went out of my way to practice earthing. One day earlier this year, a dear friend and collegue (Peter Sterios, the founder of Manduka.com) introduced me to the Earthing company's grounded yoga mat. I practiced on it for a month and I began to notice some accelerated healing. I bought some for my family, friends, students and clients, and some of them have reported incredible results too.

You see, I had hand surgery for a detached ligament from an ATV accident in Dec 2021. I started practicing yoga on the mat probably 6 months after surgery and noticed accelerated healing not only on my hand but systemic healing from head to toe. I have a short list of ailments I am working to heal and I am certain that grounding has had an influence on all of it. I sleep better and think more clearly as well.

I currently practice yoga on the double-sided earthing yoga mat, have an earthing pad for my work station and a grounded mattress pad so I stay grounded while I sleep!

Srivatsa Ramaswami, one-on-one student of T Krishnamacharya for 33 years. He is the teacher whom I have learned the most about yoga.
