My story

Over the years, I'd heard about "earthing" or "grounding"—the practice of connecting our bodies directly to the earth. I believed in the potential benefits of touching the earth with bare feet but never went out of my way to incorporate grounding into my routine.
Earlier this year, a dear friend and colleague, Peter Sterios (founder of Manduka.com), introduced me to a grounded yoga mat from the Earthing company. I practiced on this mat for a month, and to my surprise, I began noticing accelerated healing in my body. The experience was so impactful that I decided to share this tool with family, friends, students, and clients, many of whom have reported incredible benefits as well.
In December 2021, I underwent hand surgery to repair a detached ligament after an ATV accident. Roughly six months post-surgery, I began practicing yoga on the grounded mat. Not only did I notice accelerated healing in my hand, but I also experienced a systemic healing effect throughout my entire body. Grounding seems to have positively influenced various health areas, helping me sleep more soundly and think more clearly.
The benefits of grounding are well-supported by scientific studies. Here are a few to explore:

I now incorporate grounding into multiple aspects of my daily life, from practicing yoga on a double-sided grounding mat to using an earthing pad at my workstation and a grounded mattress pad for restful, connected sleep.
