Building the body without building the mind is like building a castle on shifting sand.
This yoga class is for beginners and beyond, particularly those interested in yoga beyond the postures, namely meditation. Meditation practice is receiving more and more recognition with Harvard publishing studies on it's benefits. Most yoga classes these days focus on the physical practice, while complete yoga is physical, mental, and beyond.
We will practice hatha yoga postures for the first 20 minutes. You'll need a yoga mat, a couple yoga blocks, strap or towel and meditation seat, followed by 20-minutes of seated practice (breathing and meditation).
For the final 20 minutes, I take questions regarding the practices and present applicable yoga theory.
Please register at least 1-24 hours ahead of time and log in 15 min before class so we can sound check and roll call.
Please make sure your whole body shows on your video screen so I can offer corrections as needed.
You may mirror your device or connect with hard cable (HDMI or equivalent) to your smart TV or large display. If you’re using your phone, I suggest investing in a tripod to allow quick and easy positioning during class.
