Every child is unique. Whether your child is an athlete, artist, or simply looking to improve their health and confidence, I offer individualized yoga instruction tailored to their age, abilities, and goals.
I have worked with youth from a wide range of backgrounds, including competitive athletes, dancers, neurodivergent students, and teens facing personal challenges. My calm, supportive approach helps students develop greater strength, flexibility, balance, focus, emotional regulation, and body awareness.
Programs Available
  • Private Lessons (1-on-1): Personalized instruction with Ricky for the fastest progress.
  • Semi-Private Sessions (2–6 students): Great for siblings, teammates, or friends who want individualized attention while learning together.
  • Group Classes & Team Training: Customized yoga sessions for schools, sports teams, dance studios, clubs, camps, and youth organizations.
Yoga May Help Your Child
  • Improve athletic performance and recovery
  • Increase flexibility, mobility, and balance
  • Build confidence and body awareness
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Improve focus and concentration
  • Learn healthy breathing and mindfulness skills
  • Recover safely from injury (with physician approval)
Just as yoga was traditionally taught one student at a time, every session is thoughtfully adapted to each student's unique needs. Whether working individually or in a group, the goal is to help children build healthy habits, confidence, resilience, and skills that last a lifetime.

To whom I lend loving credit.

Picture
Srivatsa Ramaswami, one-on-one student of T Krishnamacharya for 33 years. He is the teacher whom I have learned the most about yoga. He's taught me Krishnamacharya's Vinyasa Krama (asana, vinyasa, pranayama), direct translation of ancient texts, e.g. Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, Samkhya Karika, just to name a few. I have learned a tremendous amount of Sanskrit through this master's blessings.

Original Ashtanga Yogis David Swenson, David Williams, (Ricky Tran) and Danny Paradise @Ashtanga Mela 2010. These first generation Ashtangis showed me by example how one can continue to practice yoga for the rest of your life.
Picture
The Amazing Kumar Pallana, actor, performer, comedian, yogi, taught me that no matter the age of the student, everyone must be taught to laugh and breathe.
Picture
Sri Dharma Mitra, circa 2009 taught me about ahimsa and devotion. The master reminds us that the goal of yoga is Self-Realization. He is as his name implies, a friend to all.

Inspired by Bryan Kest Power Yoga, through Suze Curtis, my first yoga teacher. Learn to be comfortable when uncomfortable. Listen. Respond vs. React.
